Detailed Itinerary
Welcome to Tanzania: Meet and greet at arrival point(usually at Kilimanjaro International Airport ,JRO) by our transfer and representative driver from Nduwa Tours who will escort you to the waiting vehicle for loading your luggage then drive you to the Hotel in Arusha town. You will meet our representative who will show up at the Airport with a sign board with your name and a warm smile on his/her face when welcoming you to Tanzania. After checking in at the hotel you will get a briefing about your next days 7 Days Ndutu Migration Safari then your safari guide will come to give you a brief about this safari and share with you a copy of this safari itinerary. The rest of the day can be spent relaxing at the pool or exploring the town of Arusha.

The Day starts after breakfast at the hotel, depart around 0700am to get enough time in Tarangire for game viewing. Nduwa Tours’ personal safari guide and driver will meet you at hotel in Arusha to undertake the drive, on good tarmac road, the some 120 kilometers to Tarangire National Park where we undertake our first day of game drives. Tarangire National Park famously known for its huge elephant populations, three families numbering in the region of one thousand each, is so named for the life giving Tara River which wends its way through the park and gives sustenance from its cooling waters to a broad variety of game that come here to imbibe. We may hope to see zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, to name a few. It is possible we will glimpse our friend Leo panthera, the mighty lion, stalking his prey or, the leopard watching in relaxation in the trees above. An ornithological paradise, some five hundred birds have been here identified. The Park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands and lush groundwater forest. The Park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet! After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head for our luxury partner lodges near Tarangire for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast in the Lodge, crossing Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park. Before leaving Ngorongoro, visit the Maasai family by surprising, and learn much of what is their daily life, after then proceed traveling to Serengeti for a game drive. Before leaving Ngorongoro Conservation we will surprise one of the Maasai family “boma” to see their indigenous living style, taking Maasai lifestyle photography in Ngorongoro. The game drive in Serengeti will be starting in friendly time in the morning, safari game drive in the corner of Seronera areas, luckily to sight rearrests small cats in the morning, and other morning active animals. Day and evening game drives, following the great wildebeest migration in Serengeti, family dining set-up in the bush.

Early morning game drive in the Serengeti, breakfast in the bush, then continue with full day game drive but will drive back to the camp for hot lunch. Again an early start so as to maximize our adventure, after our breakfast we set out at 0600hrs for a game drive on the Serengeti Plains. Serengeti, ‘Endless Plain’ in the tongue of the Maasai, warrior tribe who have called the scape of land their home for millennia. We return to our lodge for breakfast at 0845.There is to be found upon the plain an abundance of wildlife with over three million large mammals here resident easily justifying the landscapes recognition as a UNESCO world heritage site. Other than the great migrating hordes we seek, we may also see cheetah, lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, wildebeest, hartebeest, topi, eland, crocs , Thomson’s and Grant’s Gazelle, amongst many many more. With over five hundred bird species identified the park is a veritable ornithological paradise, ostrich abound, secretary bird, marabou stork, and the largest lighted bird on Earth, the kori bustard the you will drive to the accommodation, we set out on our drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands, enjoying a game drive en route looking forward to our rest at our lodge high up on the crater rim where we can enjoy our dinner and the sweeping landscape spread out before our eyes. Rest, relax, rejuvenate, take in the spectacle in anticipation of our day’s adventure to come and take our ease in commodious quarters. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your camp.

After early morning game drives in Serengeti National park, drive back to the camp for breakfast then explore the Southern vast of Serengeti, while heading to Ndutu plain of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ndutu plain offers the best Wildebeest Migration during Wildebeest Calving Season from December to March every year.

After early breakfast, you will descend down the crater which is almost 600m deep. The Crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve which is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. The drive down the into the Crater is an adventure in itself and when you reach the Crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The Crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands. After game drive you will drive to Arusha or to the Airport to catch your flight back home.
The day is left free to wind down after the trek before your flight home. Depending on flight times you could go and explore Arusha town and grab some souvenirs before heading to the airport.
